Tour De France

Well it has finally arrived this weekend is the start of the Tour de France, we went for a wander around Knaresborough with our camera's

Everywhere you look people have painted bikes and they are displayed everywhere.

Shop window's have been decorated.

Even the house at the bottom of Knaresborough High Street has been decorated, I bet this is the most photographed house in Knaresborough!!!

We saw plenty of cyclists out and about, the knitted jersey's are everywhere.

This is what Knaresborough High Street will look like on Sunday morning once the roads are closed from 3am, if people are not staying overnight or live in the area's the Tour are going through, you have no chance of travelling there on the day, because of the road closures, I have not decided if it is a good thing or a curse that we live in a place the Tour is visiting 2 days running.

I'm looking forward to hearing from all the Yorkshire bloggers about the event but am delighted I'm not affected by it locally. I am not actually interested in the actual race but it does sound like fun will be had.

I ventured up to Holme Moss yesterday, although I decided against standing on the climb and had a view from an open grass space in the village. It was a great spot. What a day! I hope it didn't inconvenience anybody too much.
