We were up early today as we were going to Orkney, we drove up to St Gillies bay to get the Pentlands Ferry across to Orkney,we visited the Italian Chapel on the way to the B&B which is called Bellavista just outside Kirkwell. We had a walk around and a visit to Tourist information for ferry times to visit some of the other Islands, then we found somewhere to eat.

Friday

Another lazy day we went to the Potting Shead for more cake and coffee, then off to see the Ospreys at Loch Garten then we went to Grantown on Spey and had more coffee and cake!!! I have been stitching this week I brought a UFO with me that was from Sue Hawking it is a beach house scissor keep I will stitch it together once I am home as I have no stuffing with me, I have also started something else but it is a gift so cannot say too much at the moment. We have been swimming most evening as there is a swimming pool on site.

Thursday

I was expecting rain all day there were storms and flooding in England and we had a dry day we went to Inverness shopping then we went to Ffords a camera shop in Beauly which my Hubby likes to visit, he bought a view finder for his panasonic GF1 as he hates looking at the screen on the back.

Wednesday

Today was wet so we had a lazy day, we went to the Potting shed at Inshriach Nursery which is fantastic tearoom who make the most wonderful home baked cakes, the tearoom has a viewing gallery overlooking a feeding station which has red squirrels visiting and a multitude of birds visiting. After lunch we went to Loch Inch to have a look at the Osprey nest then we went to the RSPB Loch Garten to see the osprey there.

HOE Bird Ornament

I have not had much time for stitching recently as I have been doing a course for work which has taken a lot of my time up but I have now started again, I received this Christmas Ornament from Nancy Kuelbs this week it is a red cardinal from Prairie Schooler, I posted my exchange at the weekend but forgot to put in a card with the information about what I had stitched, I stitched a design from the Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornaments 2011 by Janie Hubble Designs called Partridge 2011.I will post a picture when I come back from my holiday we are off to Scotland tomorrow for nearly , I dare not look at the weather forecast as we have had a lot of rain recently we are also going to Orkney for 5 days so that should be interesting.
